Green-blue high-top ring

We absolutely adore the pattern on this stone. The flashes remind us of tortise shell! It's just such a treat to rotate your hand and watch the green flashes dance their way around the deep smokey blue stone. This opal's colour was so beautiful that we left the height on the stone while grinding it, which gives this ring such a stunning and unique look. Set into a flat ring band, this ring certainly is one of a kind.

While care should be taken when wearing all opal jewellery, this opal has a bit more height to it than others. Opal from Australia has a hardness of 5.5 to 6.5 on the mohs hardness scale while that is not soft  we do encourage the wearer to be mindful of this fact as a hard knock could break the stone a bit more so than a flatter stone.
 
**Rings containing an opal may be resized when taken somewhere with a laser-welder. In most cases Acid Pickle can make an opal ring half a size bigger in studio, but unfortunately we are unable to downsize these pieces.
